We have a diversified fleet with quality cars. Our offices are located in the city of Machico, about 5 minutes from Madeira International Airport, and about 15 minutes from the capital “Funchal”.

We have a personalized service, each client is unique, our objective is to give the best of ourselves to each one of them, offering a 24-hour service.

Try to contact us

  • You should contact Happycar, then the Public Security Police. Contact details can be found in the rental agreement.
  • You should contact Happycar immediately and follow the instructions given.
  • The minimum period is 1 day (24 hours).
  • Office hours are as follows: Monday to Sunday from 9 am to 1 pm and from 3 pm to 7 pm. At the Airport from Monday to Sunday, any flight schedule, after confirmation of the reservation by Happycar.
  • To be able to pick up the vehicle, you need a driver’s license, identity card or passport.
  • Yes, as long as the reservation is confirmed by Happycar.

  • No, the driver does not need to be a credit card holder; however the credit card holder must be present when picking up the vehicle.

  • Yes, all prices include VAT in accordance with current legislation.
  • Fuel is not included in the rental price, so you will have to return the vehicle with the same level of fuel upon delivery.
  • Yes, if the vehicle is returned with a lower fuel level when the vehicle is delivered. A refueling fee and the amount of missing fuel will be charged.
  • In case of early return of the vehicle, Happycar does not make any type of refund.

  • Payment for an online reservation is made in full upon confirmation of the reservation.
  • Yes, 21 years old, with a driving license for more than 1 year.
  • If canceling your reservation 48 hours in advance is free of charge,
  • If you cancel, with less than 48 hours, we will refund only 50% of the amount already paid.
  • Changes are free of charge, as long as the vehicle is available for the desired date.
  • Credit or debit card or Cash (CASH) the main driver must be present at the vehicle rental. Prepaid, electronic and debit cards will not be accepted. Please note that the credit card must be within the valid period.
  • Yes. If you do not use the SCDW (Insurance at all risks)
  • Yes, there is a daily cost to add an extra driver, you must present a valid driver’s license and passport or identity card, and you must be present at the time of vehicle rental to sign the contract.
  • Please contact us by telephone, mobile phone or via email to confirm any flight changes. Also make sure that the flight number is entered on the reservation.
  • Yes, please contact us by phone or email to request an extension of the rental. It will only be possible upon availability of vehicles.
  • A period of 30 minutes is granted for all rentals, however, you will be charged for all returns that exceed one hour of the return time. For example, if you rented a vehicle at 1 pm and are scheduled to return the vehicle at 1 pm three days later, but you return it at 2 pm, there is an additional cost of €10 for each hour of delay.

  • An airport tax is levied on all goods and services purchased at the airport.
  • Driving under the influence of alcohol
  • Driving off roads where it is not allowed
  • Loss of car keys
  • Making a mistake with the car’s fuel
  • Damage the interior of the car
  • Parking fines and speeding
  • Damage under the car
  •  When the customer rents a vehicle, it is the amount (warranty) for which the customer is always liable in case of accidental damage to the vehicle.
  • If you opt for insurance in all risks (SCDW), you do not need a deposit or deductible.
